Each cottage boasts enclosed gardens, providing a safe haven for your pets to roam, play, and bask in the beauty of nature.

Whether you have a pint-sized pooch or a larger-than-life furball, our cottages are designed to cater to every canine personality. Our goal is to ensure that every member of the family, both two-legged and four-legged, experiences the utmost comfort and joy during their stay.
All breeds are welcome at Higher Longford.
Dogs are welcome throughout your cottage but we ask you to cover furniture and beds with throws. You will need to bring these from home.
Dogs must be on a lead, except in your own garden & cottage
You are welcome to use the doggie walk field and nature walk. This is a shared facility and shared with other dog walkers. You will need to use a lead for dogs in these areas.*
We ask that you do not leave your dogs unattended in our cottages. For short periods we allow dogs to be left if you use a crate. For your convenience we have some dog crates that can be borrowed. (Please book to borrow dog crates in advance.)
We have the added facility of additional freezer space for raw feeders.

We have beautiful gardens for all our cottages
Sycamore Cottage – Sleeps 2 – Enclosed back garden. High Wooden Fences 6 foot. No Gaps. Secure lockable Gate. Access from living room
Rowan Cottage – Sleeps 4 – Enclosed back garden. High Wooden Fences 7 foot. No Gaps. Secure Lockable Gate. Access from living room.
Oak Cottage – Sleeps 4 – Enclosed side garden. High Wood Fences with no gaps. Secure Lockable Gate. Direct access from living room.
Holly Cottage – Sleeps 6 – Enclosed garden. High Walls and Metal Gate (with wire fencing on). (Walls 8 foot, Gate 5 Foot). This garden is separate from the property. It is across the private yard alongside your parking.

Dogs registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act
We are happy for you to bring all dogs to Higher Longford. We are aware that some dogs require a little more security in order to enjoy a holiday with us.
We are happy to send you pictures or videos of these gardens so you can assess whether these are secure for your dogs.
*Unfortunately, we cannot allow dogs under the dangerous dogs act to use the dog walk field or nature walk. As this is a shared facility our insurance asks that the dogs do not use this facility.
All areas apart from your cottage are deemed public and therefore a muzzle and short lead must be used according to law.

We have had many cats, tortoises, birds and even a tortoise staying with us at Higher Longford.
